The MIS Project Server is intended for MIS faculty and their students to experiment with site design and web development.
The project server runs the latest version of WordPress. There are more than 50,000 WordPress plug-ins at https://wordpress.org/plugins/ running on more than 24 million sites. WordPress is the most popular content management system by a significant margin serving up about 36% of the top 100,000 sites worldwide.
There are 30 themes available for project use on the MIS Project Server.
The MIS Project Server includes a number of key WordPress plug-in’s including the Genesis Framework, Jetpack, BuddyPress, MarketPress, and others.
Students and faculty interested in experimenting with additional plug-ins can make a request by contacting the system administrator. In general, any plug-in listed on WordPress.org can be easily added.
All sites on this server are automatically removed about two weeks after the end of each semester. Please review the site policy.
